VW GTI Windscreen Washer Parts: Bottles, Caps and Pumps

This guide summarizes seller titles reviewed on 2026-10-19, from a catalogue snapshot dated 2026-10-07. It is historical buying evidence, not current stock or verified compatibility. Confirm the exact application, current price and availability with the seller.

Hardware rather than screenwash

The supplied UK review of the category named “Windshield Washer Fluid” contained washer-system hardware: caps, reservoir tanks, pumps, hoses, a sensor and a jet. This guide is therefore called Windscreen Washer Parts. It does not recommend a fluid specification or reservoir capacity.

Identify which GTI the seller means

The reviewed titles included Golf Mk7/Mk7.5, Golf Mk5, Golf Mk4 and Polo GTI descriptions. A title saying only “VW Golf” is not confirmation of GTI application.

The draft recorded 1K0955455 on a Polo GTI cap title and 3Q0955455 on a broader Golf/Polo/Passat cap title. Compare the number on the old part and ask the supplier to verify the correct application. The review does not establish which number your car requires.

A Mk5 GTI pump title used “Front Rear”, and a Mk4 title described a 500 mm hose. These are seller descriptions; do not infer the plumbing arrangement or dimensions required by your car from another generation's title.

Check what is included

Several Golf tank titles said without pump. Confirm whether the pump, seals, sensor and cap are included before comparing prices. Generic VW descriptions and other-vehicle-only listings should not be treated as verified GTI matches.

If the washer system is not working, establish the fault before ordering hardware. This guide does not diagnose pumps, fuses, wiring, blocked jets or leaks.

FAQ

Do Golf 2015–2021 washer tanks fit every GTI?

Those year and model words alone do not establish compatibility. Verify the part number and exact application with the seller.

Are Polo and Golf GTI washer caps the same?

The source review recorded different cap references. It does not establish interchangeability; compare the old part and verify with a supplier.

Does a tank listing include a pump?

Check the written contents. A tank described as “without pump” does not include one.
